Mentorship: what is helpful?

If you have had a mentor, what has s/he done that in helpful? What do you wish they would do? As prospective pt's I think this would be valuable information as we move forward in our careers/pursuits to becoming a pt so we can help other along the way. Everyone has a different perspective, I think it would be awesome to hear what people think.
